Gowi Odera organized a peaceful street demonstration to protest the recent move by Kenyan MPs to increase their salary – a move that has been met with condemnation from many corners. We talked to Gowi and some of the protestors who turned up. What do YOU think? Is there anything you feel strongly enough to take to the streets for?
Realize the shift in the tide. If you watched this, if you’re reading this, you’re a part of this new wave. I doubt there’s any time in history the middle class has been this empowered to coerce justice out of our leaders. Then again, I doubt there’s been a time in history we’ve been this complacent about it.
Thank you, Gowi Odera.
Freedom to express our displeasure at these MPs who seem to live in a vacuum up until elections when they make a technical appearance back in the constituency.
Wakuwe serious please.
