this is the opportunity that we must fight for change together as young people because it us who have the stamina and strength to build this Nation of ours.We as young people both women & male should speak in one voice and stand together as one people. I support this site and movement but you should find a way reaching to that young Kenyan who doesn't know what internet is. Bravo guys.

Hello queeryingkenyan,

We'd like to assure you that we do take equity issues seriously.

A good number of our core team consists of women, and friends
like Dr. Njoki Ngumi continue to contribute to and inspire this
movement. We begun shooting these interviews a month ago
and we've only just begun meeting all these interesting people,
so we do apologize if this looks like yet another gentleman's
club so far.

In our defence, we have already lined up interviews with
young women - such as Ms. Pouline Kimani, who is very
active in the fight for gender equality and the rights of sexual
minorities - and these should be up soon.

Thanks for your feedback!

I love this website and the movement that is Kuweni Serious. However, just from surfing, I have to wonder why this website (and movement) lacks representation? For example, why aren't there any interviews with women? Why aren't we talking about equity issues? If Kenya is to move forward, yes we must acknowledge young people (I'm a young person myself) and we must acknowledge the forces that are behind what we are trying to fight i.e. the media and systemic governmental forces, but there also MUST be a discussion around equity. Because let's face it, Kenya will never move forward if its women are left behind and that goes for the rest of the minority groups in Kenya. We have to build our country TOGETHER so that our children can have a better place to live.

This is what i call wisdom. If only Kenyan's & mostly our leaders would initiate change in the society & the way of governance could change, 2012 will be different from 2008. George, you got my support & our support as Kenyan Youth.
